I have a right to my opinion too!

I have a few things on my mind today, it looks like the “bitmoji” I have posted saying, “What’s in Harolene’s mind?” showing a brain exploding with all sorts of odd bits and pieces, only the bits and pieces exploding in my brain tonight are not very funny and will probably cause some of you to delete me from your friend lists, so be it.

I have not seen any news today because my day started with my going to the monthly women’s meeting at our church and from there to the grocery store, and several other errands I needed to run and then trying to set things in order so that I can start all over again in the morning, going to church for the Sunday services. I say that because I sat down and opened my computer and my Facebook page opened where I saw snippets about Hollywood boycotting until our new President resigns, and some statement Madonna made evidently about blowing up the White House. That, along with pictures of gangs of thugs causing destruction in our capitol city because they are not happy with how the election turned out just made me sick to my stomach. How does breaking windows and setting fires send any kind of good message? The message I get is that I am glad those people didn’t get their way! Is the leader they wanted in favor of that kind of action? I saw a post that said “Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat she didn’t destroy the bus.” I’m not done yet, I had seen a piece on the news about a dog attacking two young children, killing one, and I was already upset about why that happened when my trip to the grocery store made me think about it even more, let me tell you about it.

I was pushing my cart with every ounce of strength I had, I was feeling lousy and just wanted to get home. I came upon two women talking and laughing in the aisle ahead of me and I was trapped because they were in front of me and it was too narrow where I was to turn around, but then I noticed that just ahead there was an open space where sodas were stacked where I could cut across and get out of the trap. I pushed ahead and couldn’t see what was on the floor because my cart was piled too high when one of the women looked at me with an angry look at yelled at me, “WATCH OUT FOR THE BABY WOULD YA?” I was startled and looked down, there was a tiny tot just barely walking, about one year old with blond curls, clutching a soda can in his chubby little hands. He came out of nowhere, the two women were certainly not watching over him; he was just roaming around by himself. I had very nearly run over him and if I had those two women would have probably pounced on me. It made me think of the news report I saw of a mother crying into the camera and saying her six-year old sons last words as he walked out the door to walk to the school bus stop were “I love you mom, I’ll see you after school.” Something about that rankled me, I am not putting any blame on her or on the two women in the grocery store but I do have a point. My siblings and I grew up with “strangled wrists” from our mother holding our hand so tightly it felt like the circulation was being cut off. If we had to get on a bus we were walked to the stop and she would wait until our ride came and saw us safely on before she walked away. Mostly we were taken to school and seen into class until we were old enough to be embarrassed. I did the same with my own two. Why would she have let that baby go out into the dark so early in the morning without walking with him? Could she have prevented the dog attack? Maybe she could have, she will never know. With him was a little five-year old girl who was also attacked and is in the hospital.

Lastly, I may be the only person who feels this way but I could not care less if Hollywood goes on a strike, I don’t need them to entertain me, but wouldn’t that be like a person cutting off their own nose to spite their face? They don’t work they don’t get paid, and are they so smart and so clever with all their fancy cars and expensive clothes that they can keep up that life style if they boycott for very long?

I don’t have any answers and I don’t need to hear any arguments, I have a rule, if you are going to argue you have to get naked, it would be hard to argue while you are laughing so hard, right?

I believe we have the responsibility to watch and protect our children, our homes and our country. I feel we should respect our country and the flag it flies.

Again let me quote 2 Chronicles 7:14 which says, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

  1. I have been praying and for the most part refraining from responding to the fray.

I love you Harolene and your precious sister who led us in worship to our only King, Jesus. We are women of Harvest and I have a circumcised ear turned toward heaven. My verse to carry in my heart and ponder is Isaiah 30:18-22.

The violence and uproar in the streets turns my stomach as well. God protect us, in the USA. Please lead us from this chaotic mess. I know the peace is what Jesus left me, and peace will be my guide.

My precious roommate got to experience women of harvest for the first time. She received a touch from the Holy Spirit and it was glorious to behold. I will continue to brighten the corner where I am and was so glad to stand on the same corner as my women of harvest this morning.

  2. Oh, Pastor Harolene I needed your words so much. You write so many times what is going over and over within my spirit. All week I have been speaking not only out loud but also in my mind and heart, which are twine together in this, the Word Bishop Alan tell us to do, ““Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Mat_18:18; I declared these words every single time I heard or saw something that was going on either on the radio, Facebook, or the television that was revolting or disgraceful or disrespectful to God, to Jesus or to President Trump or ANY of his supporters. I believe God is in Control and will take care off our Words that we speak that are HIS words. We need to bind up all evil spirits that are affecting all people and animals within our territory, and the entire world for that matter, but especially within the United States. I appreciate you so much and your words you write as it helps me each day. Linda
