Has anyone ever the “it’s not you, it’s me” line on you? Have you said it to someone? It is referred to as a “Pseudo-Compassionate” break up line. Pseudo is a word from the Greek language that means “false”. I dislike people that are fake, just be straight with me, or as the saying goes, shoot straight from the hip!
When John the Baptist spoke about King Herod’s wife, he didn’t pull any punches and it cost him his head! Jesus wasn’t tender with His language either! Matthew 23:33 Snakes! Reptilian sneaks! Do you think you can worm your way out of this? Never have to pay the piper? It’s on account of people like you that I send prophets and wise guides and scholars generation after generation—and generation after generation you treat them like dirt, greeting them with lynch mobs, hounding them with abuse.
His enemies set about to see how they could kill Him without causing an uprising!
What about you? How do you approach things that need to be said?
You can be honest without being mean, but be honest! It is so embarrassing to find out that you have been operating under a false illusion, more embarrassing than to just hear the truth.
Proverbs 3:3-4 Don’t lose your grip on Love and Loyalty(truth). Tie them around your neck; carve their initials on your heart. Earn a reputation for living well in God’s eyes and the eyes of the people. Proverbs 12:17
Proverbs 16:6 has the answer to that: Guilt is banished through love and truth; Fear of God deflects evil.
If you have given your life to God and accepted salvation, then your sins are gone! Guilt is a feeling of responsibility or remorse for some offense, crime, wrong, etc., whether real or imagined, and is the tool Satan uses against you to make you feel unworthy. God has taken the guilt and shame away through the blood of Jesus, don’t let the devil put it back on you!
How is it with you then? Are you the, it’s not you it’s meperson, or are you willing to say, “This is not working for me” and then give all the reasons. If you think this doesn’t apply to you because you are happy in your love life, then you are missing an important point, it’s about being truthful with your friends, co-workers and people with which you may have a difference of opinion. Don’t be bullied into acting as if you accept what they think as the truth, if you don’t feel it. Stand up and be your own person but do it with love. Sometimes you have to agree to disagree!
Are you being honest with God? Remember, He went to talk with Adam and Eve already knowing they had sinned and waited to see if they would try to deceive Him.
Psalm 139: 23-24 Investigate my life, O God, find out everything about me; Cross-examine and test me, get a clear picture of what I’m about; See for yourself whether I’ve done anything wrong—then guide me on the road to eternal life.
