The title to this is at the end…

I took the twins home, from the back seat I heard them singing, “The wheels on the bus go round and round” and I was telling them how much I love them and praying for the angels to keep watch over them, all the normal things I do… their dad came out to get them and I followed him in with their clean jammies in my hand… I laid them where their mom could see them when she came in and started back down the stairs and the screams that came from those two miniature men and instant tears as they cried for me ripped my heart right down the middle…all over again.

I was thinking of the world they had been born into and praying and wishing for a change in our world. As usual my IPhone connected with the blue tooth and a random selection from my vast library started playing, the only song in there by this artist… any guesses what it was? I’ll give you some lyrics:

I’m Gonna Make A Change,

For Once In My Life

It’s Gonna Feel Real Good,

Gonna Make A Difference

Gonna Make It Right . . .

If you guessed “Man in the Mirror” you were right.

So with tears running down my cheeks I listened closely to every word and whatever you think of the artist or his lifestyle, the words to that song have a ringing truth in them…

I’m Starting With The Man In

The Mirror

I’m Asking Him To Change

His Ways

And No Message Could Have

Been Any Clearer

If You Wanna Make The World

A Better Place

(If You Wanna Make The

World A Better Place)

Take A Look At Yourself, And

Then Make A Change

In the book of Haggai chapter 1 God is talking to the people who have been making excuses about why they haven’t started to rebuild the Temple…

Chapter 1 Vs 3-6 Then the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying, “Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?”  Now therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways!

 “You have sown much, and bring in little;

You eat, but do not have enough;

You drink, but you are not filled with drink;

You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm;

And he who earns wages,

Earns wages to put into a bag with holes.”

 Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways!

Did you pick out the words that struck me through the heart from those lyrics? If you didn’t I will tell you now and I ask you, if you are worried about our world in general or your family problems or any other thing the solution has to start with the person you see when you look in the mirror every time you wash your hands, brush your teeth or comb your hair… it’s the Man in the Mirror and what you must do is to

CONSIDER YOUR WAYS
