What’s on the menu of Satan’s Silver Spoon Cafe?

Photo 155When you walk out of your own home every day to: go to school, go to work, or meet someone for lunch, go shopping…name any number of things that take you out every day and you will realize that as you look around there are all types of things that are presented to you at “Satan’s Silver Tray”, the cafe of trouble! From the simple temptation to cheat: on a test, running the light or stop sign, realizing that you were handed too much change…to larger ones, cheating on your spouse, stealing money from the petty cash box or (as one woman I saw) take money intended for a server from a table, repeating an item of gossip that steals someone’s good name maybe costing them their job.

These are some pretty tasty items on that tray, but let me remind you that if you take an item from the Silver Tray, it will cost you dearly. The Apostle Paul wrote to the Philippians, 3:13-14 I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.

King James says: “Forgetting the past, looking forward to what is ahead” I am referring to an item on the Tray that a lot of people choose, and it is a favorite of Satan’s to serve! “Yum yum, give them a BIG dose of GUILT! Make them believe that Jesus blood did nothing to atone for their sins, hey, maybe we can even get them to go out and hang themselves the way Judas did!” This “guilt” thing could cost you your immortal soul! Because you feel remorse and guilt you feel unworthy (the side effect of guilt…you know like eating beans gives you intestinal GAS) no way to have one without the other, and this unworthy feeling makes you look for worth in “all the wrong places”, which piles on more guilt and so-it-goes!

1 John 2:12 I am writing to you who are God’s children because your sins have been forgiven through Jesus. That is the item on the menu that is printed in letters so small you have to get a magnifier to read it, but it is THERE! Your sins are forgiven! If Judas had only known that he could have walked up to Jesus as He hung on the cross and he would have been forgiven, he didn’t have to die.

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem! If you are willing to die to get rid of your problems, why not die to yourself and give it all to Jesus? When He died, His blood erased all the sin from mankind, but you have to ASK Him! Now, are you going to go to the cross and tell Jesus that you know that He loved you enough to die for you so that you could bring your guilt and shame and really ugly deeds to Him to be cleansed, or are you going back to the old cafe to get another helping of Satan’s killer food? I suggest the former!

Psalms 103:3 He forgives all my sins, He heals all my diseases.  As you read this, if you have something you want to be rid of, pray with me: “My Father, I love you and I thank you for forgiving my sins through the saving blood of Jesus Christ Your Son, Who died on the cross for me, I accept Him in my heart as my personal Savior, Amen”

If you prayed this prayer from your heart, then close that menu, it no longer applies! You are FREE, you are clean, and you are made WHOLE! Now, pick a new place to eat!

  1. I really like this one, very well written, you have set forth some great points, explained them well & put forth Bible backup. I think I have written this before but in prayer ministry the biggest thing we have faced in Christians trying to better them self in Christ is that sense of false guilt. They all seem to be in the same type boat- look what I did- how can He possibly forgive me? There is only one sin which has no forgiveness- otherwise everything can be wiped clean. Once we can convince people that false guilt is straight out of hell & is a lie we can see victory coming into their life. A lady I have known all my life was raised in a good Christian home. Left home went into the Air Force got mixed up with the wrong crowd. Got out ended up on Alvarado Street in LA as a street walker/party girl heavy into drugs & sex. Went to jail many times before she got out in 1983 & gave her heart to the Lord. Became a great Christian witness. A short time she died in 2007, the Lord told me to call her & tell some things. I did as I was told. During our talk the Lord showed me she could not forgive herself for all the bad she had done. Our talk was long & I was finally able to make her understand that God had forgiven her & there fore nobody had any legal grounds to accuse her. She called me a few days later as she dying of lung cancer & told me she was free thanks to my talking with her & making her understand. She went into a coma some 12 hours after her call & then went to meet Jesus a day or so later. I think about the people I saw as a young person in church who suffered from this type guilt all because the church refused to recognize it as a problem. Everyone stated when you got saved God forgave you of all your sins of the past & in the future as you asked Him. Why did David ask the Lord so many times to search his heart for hidden sins if they aren’t there. God bless. Know I really appreciate your effort doing this. First thing I look for when I sign in to FB.
