For Unto Us A Child Is Born

John 1:1-6 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

Before time began, God saw me. Jesus, who is the Word, left His heavenly throne to live and die as a man, to save me.

A song in my playlist twice says, “When I fall in love, it will be forever, or I’ll never fall in love”; if I am in love with a man, I don’t need to continue to date other men just to make sure my feelings about the one are validated! I say it is what it is.

I have the faith that was planted in me before time began and has grown with me through my life. I have had an up close and personal relationship with Jesus, the one and only Christ, and I don’t need to experiment, look around, read other’s comments or books or explore any other religion to know that He is the One and only Christ. I love Him.

I believe that He was born of the Virgin Mary and that the angels announced His birth! Luke 2:10-14 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.  And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “ Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

I believe that He died on a Cross, was buried and rose again on the third day. I believe He was seen by multitudes of people and was physically seen going up into the heavens and that He will return!

Acts 1:6-11 So when the apostles were with Jesus, they kept asking him, “Lord, has the time come for you to free Israel and restore our kingdom? “He replied, “The Father alone has the authority to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” After saying this, he was taken up into a cloud while they were watching, and they could no longer see him. As they strained to see him rising into heaven, two white-robed men suddenly stood among them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!”

I am afraid that this country is going to be lulled into a feeling that everything will always remain the same, but as prayer was taken out of our schools, we will continue to see our other rights being taken away. How much arsenic would you drink if I said, “Just a little won’t hurt you”? You can drink a little at a time without feeling the effects, but it builds up in your system and eventually kills you!

Listening to a gospel that is perverted from the truth a little at the time you may not notice that it is perverting you, but the end is death. Since this is being published for the 24th Christmas is tomorrow and I pray that you will let the peace that passes understanding be with you so you can celebrate the birth of our Savior with joy!

Let me close the way I started, John 1:3-5 Everything was created through him; nothing—not one thing came into being without him. What came into existence was Life, and the Life was Light to live by. The Life-Light blazed out of the darkness; the darkness couldn’t put it out.
