If you were to see a small child headed for trouble, wouldn’t you try to stop him to protect him? One morning my mother and sister saw a toddler out on the street in freezing January weather wearing nothing but a diaper. He was standing on the sidewalk of a main street, lost, crying and looking around. They pulled over to the sidewalk, stopped the car and got out to pick him up and then went door to door at all the houses close by until they woke a very tired looking mother, who had fallen asleep and lost track of where the little one was.
Psalm 91:11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
My mother and sister weren’t dressed in angel costumes and they don’t have wings, but they rescued that child from possibly being run down by a careless motorist or possibly kidnapped never to be seen again. God sees us standing out in the cold or our own life’s problems and has provided a way for us to be picked up!
Psalm 33:18-19 Watch this: God’s eye is on those who respect him, the ones who are looking for his love. He’s ready to come to their rescue in bad times; in lean times he keeps body and soul together.
37:18-19 God keeps track of the decent folk; what they do won’t soon be forgotten. In hard times, they’ll hold their heads high; when the shelves are bare, they’ll be full.
In time of trouble: Nahum 1:7 God is good, a hiding place in tough times. He recognizes and welcomes anyone looking for help, No matter how desperate the trouble. God knows us each by name! Matthew 10:29-31 What’s the price of a pet canary? Some loose change, right? And God cares what happens to it even more than you do. He pays even greater attention to you, down to the last detail—even numbering the hairs on your head! So don’t be intimidated by all this bully talk. You’re worth more than a million canaries.
The sure foundation of Christian hope is this: 2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his, “and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.”
This is the Lord’s Day; I wanted to bring you a little encouragement and help you to know through His Word, that He is near. He knows who you are and He cares for you. He sends people to you that have answers, and care, hopefully I am one of those people for you! Everyday I ask Him to give His angels charge over my family and me. I ask Him to give me thoughts and words that you need to get you through another day. The Holiday season is coming on and with all of its happiness and joy there will also come another emotion, depression. I have friends who have lost dear loved ones right before Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays, I have a friend who lost her son in a car crash near Christmas, another friend lost her husband on Christmas Day and my own mother died last Christmas which is also my birthday. With so many people out of work, there might not be enough money to buy needed items, much less a gift so I am asking you to pray and ask God to show you someone that you can be an Angel for this season, I promise you it will make your own Holiday much happier!
Remember, we are God’s hands on this earth, you Angel you!
