So call me crazy, I am beyond caring!

I am personally happy to have a change of subjects, world hunger and wars and job losses, riots, whatever is going on will be going on come Monday February 6 so why can’t we suspend reality for a few hours on the 5th and enjoy the game?

Everyone knows that I root for the home teams! I don’t quit when they are losing and I rejoice when they are winning. Sunday our football home team is in the Super bowl and I am happy about it. Isn’t there enough misery in the world to allow us a couple of hours to enjoy a pigskin being thrown by some ace QBs? I say whatever team you root or don’t root for let’s not make this political, I just enjoy the game! I am happy about this little reprieve from the sadness of being the loser and I plan to enjoy it.

I will say I do NOT plan to watch Lady Gaga as I have heard she plans to diss our president, which will only cause more angst. Why can’t entertainers just stick to entertaining and quit trying to be politicians? All getting an Oscar or Golden Globe means is that they can lie, pretending to be someone else, better than the others.

Read Philippians 4:8-9 and think on good things today, here it is:

Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.

OK sports fans, I am going to bed with visions of Falcons flying in my head!
