I have been watching coverage of the storm and praying for all the people who are in the path of this storm and the ones who were affected by Harvey. Our church has been sending relief to people in that area and now there are millions of other people also in need of help! With so many in need of water, food and shelter, I wondered, “What does the Bible have to say about it?”
Isaiah 58:7 Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless. Give clothes to those who need them, and do not hide from relatives who need your help.
Matthew 22:40 ‘Love others as well as you love yourself.’ These two commands are pegs; everything in God’s Law and the Prophets hangs from them.”
There you go, scripture from the Old and the New Testament telling us the same thing, we must have love one for the other! I am praying for us all!
