Whispering Hope

I can get in a quiet place and close my eyes and I can almost hear the voices of my parents singing a song, written by Jim Reeves, named “Whispering Hope”. As a child I didn’t know how much comfort that hope whispered into my heart by God’s Spirit could be, I do now.

One of the verses of that song says, “Soft as the voice of an angel, breathing a lesson unheard, Hope with a gentle persuasion, whispers her comforting word, Wait till the darkness is over, wait till the tempest is done, Hope for the sunshine tomorrow, after the darkness is gone.”

Proverbs 13:12 Unrelenting disappointment leaves you heartsick, but a sudden good break can turn life around. Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.

When our Father God, created man, he created him to be His own companion, to walk and talk with Him. He gave man dominion over every living thing. He made us and wanted us to enjoy life, the earth, and the inhabitants of the earth and to be happy, joyous, living life to the fullest. It is the fault of man that the air of this earth became Satan’s property to do with as he would and now we cope with disease, pollution of land and sea, danger on every hand and, most of all, unhappiness.

As the Proverb says, when we are constantly disappointed and upset, we open the gates that protect our health so that along with being unhappy, we become sick.

Is anyone or any material thing worth giving up your hope, your health, or your life for? I say NO!

1Corinthians 15:19 “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.”

Don’t worry about tomorrow, just live for today, start following Jesus, each step of the way.

Jeremiah 29:11 “I’ll show up and take care of you as I promised and bring you back home. I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out-plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.”

“My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness”
