The silence in this house right now is deafening! I can barely stand it! After having two-month old twin boys here for eight days, listening for every little whimper, or movement from one of the little rocking cradles my hands feel very empty and I don’t know if I can stay in the same room with those cradles sitting so still, a colorful Mickey Mouse coverlet hanging over the side of one of them where the occupant was picked up and placed in his little car seat for the ride home.
When we miss someone we love there is an ache inside of us that we call a heartache, I have heard it said that a person can die of a broken heart, that must be a terrible sadness. We give our heart to the Lord, the heart of the King is in the hand of the Lord, it is said that the heart is desperately wicked who can know it? The Psalmist said, ”Try my reigns (heart) and see if there be any wicked way in me”.
You have a dreadful heartache, “What do you do now?”
Psalms 34:18 If your heart is broken, you’ll find God right there; if you’re kicked in the gut, he’ll help you catch your breath.
Give it all to Jesus, He’s the healer of broken hearts!
