Which emoji are you using?

I may be perceived as old fashioned, or maybe just old, but when something in a text or message is funny to me I will answer with HA HA HA HA HA which describes my kind of laughter so much better than the current LOL. It is so easy to be misunderstood in a text and it can cause hard or hurt feelings because the person to whom you are speaking can’t see your face or hear the inflection in your voice indicating humor or seriousness. I have gotten into trouble more than once because of my sideways style of humor, in other words I may be the only one that thinks I’m funny. One good way of solving that is to use emojis to show our emotion, a smiley face or a frown, a heart, even a broken heart and the person on the other end of the message knows what you are saying. Having said all that….

Aren’t you glad you don’t have to use a prayer emoji when you talk to God? Actually all we have to do is go before him whether you are laying on your bed, kneeling by a chair or in church at an altar in an attitude of prayer and He already knows what we are there for.

Isaiah 65:24 “It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear.”

Romans 8:28-26 “Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.”

I wrote a blog once that asked the question, “If God sent you a text what would He be saying?”   Well, now you know, and He didn’t have to use an emoji to do it! 🙂
