I communicate with a lot of people everyday. Generally there’s an information exchange, small talk, personal conversation, the key word there is exchange. There is one person I communicate with on an almost daily basis and I do most of the talking but today I got an email and had to laugh out loud, it was one (1) word! The word was “good”. I wrote back and said, “Good! We could add and say good afternoon, good night, good heavens, well right now it’s goodbye, gotta get supper on the table.”
So why share that slice of my life with you? If you want someone to know what you’re thinking you have to say it out loud, and yes I do remember that I addressed this recently, it’s just that one word email got me to thinking.
To have communion with a person you need to be close and that applies to your relationship with God!
Into our emptiness, Jesus brings fullness and completion (Colossians 2:9-10)
Into our deficit, Jesus brings supply (Philippians 4:19)
Into our death, Jesus brings life (Ephesians 2:1,5)
Into our separation, Jesus brings reconciliation (Romans 5:10-11)
Into our imperfect love, Jesus brings his perfect love (1 John 4:10)
When you know that God loves you completely then you can follow the advice of
Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Did I communicate that to you well enough?
(YES) ha
