I jokingly told someone today that I was planning to run away to New Zealand, my friend replied that it sounded good to him but only if He said it was an assignment, and ended the sentence with three question marks. I answered his non-serious question with a very serious answer, “My assignment would be to rest and relax the Temple He entrusted to me which I have neglected and abused!” We all need some moments of total relaxation, here’s one way I am able to completely let all my problems wash away.
I am so affected by music, it can raise me to heights of happiness or drag me to the depths of depression, but if it’s worship music I am at the Throne of the Almighty, hands raised and praising Him in the beauty of His Holiness. So I put my earphones in and listened, “We shall behold Him, Oh we shall behold Him, face to face in all of His glory!”
As the music started the tears already standing ready on the rims of my eyes began to fall, “We Shall Behold Him!” He is the One that heals our broken hearts and binds our wounds, Psalm 147:3. As I saw myself standing with the throngs in front of the Throne, Total Praise began “You are the source of my strength, You are the strength of my life, I lift my hands in Total Praise to You”. Then, “For every mountain You’ve brought me over for every trial you’ve seen me through, for every blessing halleluiah for this I give you Praise!!! For every mountain you’ve brought me over for every trial you’ve seen me through, for every blessing halleluiah for this I give you praise!” While I see myself at the Throne singing, I begin to feel washed and released as the past heartaches and trouble fades while I look into His wonderful face. Revelation 5:12 “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!”
Let God renew your strength. The same way we need to charge the battery in our phones and computers, we need to take the time to plug ourselves into the power that only exists in the Throne Room of God to be re-charged so that we can face another day re-vitalized so that we can be a help to those who look to us for their needs.
