Does anyone know where I am?

myhouseHave you ever worked hard on a project and then someone else got the credit? Or done a favor like planning a wedding for free, given a big party for someone and when the thanks were handed out, you were forgotten? Are you always taken for granted? Well, Reader dear, we have all been there at one time or another.

There is an old hymn that speaks to our “soul” man which was written by Lucie Campbell-Williams named “He’ll Understand and say Well Done” Let me give you a verse and chorus:  If when you give Him the best of your service, Telling the world that the Savior has come. Be not dismayed if men don’t believe you, He’ll understand and say, “Well done. “Oh when I come to the end of my journey, Weary of life and the battle is won bearing the staff and the cross of redemption, He’ll understand and say, “Well done.”  It seems like “Sister Lucie” might have had some of those same feelings when she wrote this song!

When I need hope I go to the scriptures to find it and this one lets me know that God knows exactly where I am at all times! Matthew 10:29-31 “Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.”

Obviously the problem God is having with me right now is just to keep up with the color of my hair!  Then there are the times that I cry when I think no one else knows about it but the good thing is that God knows that also! Psalm 147:2-6 He heals the heartbroken and bandages their wounds. He counts the stars and assigns each a name. Our Lord is great, with limitless strength; we’ll never comprehend what he knows and does. GOD puts the fallen on their feet again and pushes the wicked into the ditch.”

Sometimes it just has to be enough to know that God knows what we have done, and sometimes (if we listen to gossip about ourselves) what we have NOT done because He is our righteous judge and knows all things! So the next time Satan, or any of his helpers, tries to put you down or make you feel less than, shove the words to these scriptures down his throat! These are the promises where I get the assurance God will one day look at me and while He recognizes all the good I have done, He will also forget all the bad I have done, and then say “Well done, my good and faithful servant! Enter in!”

If you ever think God doesn’t know ALL about you, read this! Psalm 139:1-6 “GOD, investigate my life; get all the facts firsthand.  I’m an open book to you; even from a distance, you know what I’m thinking. You know when I leave and when I get back; I’m never out of your sight. You know everything I’m going to say before I start the first sentence. I look behind me and you’re there, then up ahead and you’re there, too— your reassuring presence, coming and going. This is too much, too wonderful— I can’t take it all in!” Then Verse 12: Then I said to myself, “Oh, he even sees me in the dark! At night I’m immersed in the light!” It’s a fact: darkness isn’t dark to you; night and day, darkness and light, they’re all the same to you.”
Dwell in the secret place of the Most High (Psalm 91), and look up  because God knows exactly where you are!

  1. I think we need to sit down & compare notes- it seems we keep reading from the same page. It does surprise me when I click on here & read words about the thoughts I had been having during the past 24hours.I truly can not find fault with what you write as my thoughts seem to be almost the same at times. Just want you to know that I appreciate you & your walk with the Lord. I know your words here have been a blessing to me so I know you have been touching others too. God bless- keep up the great work. God bless.
