I took a personal minute

“We shall behold Him, Oh we shall behold Him, face to face in all of His glory!” Have you ever simply ached to see a loved one, one whose face is so dear to you that it is emblazoned forever on your mind? Oh what happiness the sight of that face would bring to you. I sat to write the devotion and had a thought but I saw my earphones and they seemed to invite me to put them in and listen. I am so affected by music, it can raise me to heights of happiness or drag me to the depths of depression, but if it’s worship music I am at the Throne of the Almighty, hands raised and praising Him in the beauty of His Holiness. The first strains of the music brought the vision of a loved face I’ve never seen in the flesh but I know it so well, it is the face of Jesus. As the music started the tears already standing ready on the rims of my eyes began to roll, “We Shall Behold Him!” He is the One that heals our broken hearts and binds our wounds, Psalm 147:3. As I saw myself standing with the throngs in front of the Throne, Total Praise began “You are the source of my strength, You are the strength of my life, I lift my hands in Total Praise to You”. Then, “For every mountain You’ve brought me over for every trial you’ve seen me through, for every blessing halleluiah for this I give you Praise!!! For every mountain you’ve brought me over for every trial you’ve seen me through, for every blessing halleluiah for this I give you praise!”  While I see myself at the Throne singing, I begin to feel washed and released as the past few weeks of heartache and trouble fades while I look into His wonderful face. Revelation 5:12 “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!”

Let God renew your strength. The same way we need to charge the battery in our phones and computers, we need to take the time to plug ourselves into the power that only exists in the Throne Room of God to be re-charged so that we can face another day re-vitalized so that we can be a help to those who look to us for their needs.
