I waited all day for the little box to arrive at my door, it was an important purchase and the information from UPS said I would have to sign for it! When the package arrived I brought it in and carefully opened it to see my new shiny black IPhone ! I plugged it into my computer to download all my information on it so I could begin to use it, then plugged in my old phone to restore it to it’s factory settings, thereby erasing everything that was on it so it would be like a brand new phone. What made it brand new? The action of “restoring” it to it’s original settings. I connected it and watched as everything of mine began to disappear making room for new numbers and apps and then I looked up the word “restore”, this is what I found: 1.To bring back into existence or use; reestablish: restore law and order. 2.To bring back to an original condition: restore a building. See Synonyms at revive. 3.To put (someone) back in a former position: restore the emperor to the throne. 4.To make restitution of; give back: restore the stolen funds.
I read those four things and gave them a spiritual connotation! 1. He can bring me back into existence or use and reestablish me! 2. He can put me back into my original condition, sounds like a complete healing to me! 3. He can put me back in the place I was before I fell from Grace, or made a mistake, in other words He forgives. and 4. He will give us back everything that was stolen from us by our actions! Then I new I had to back that up with the Bible, so I looked and found restore mentioned 66 times. Psalm 23:3 He restores my soul and leads me in paths of righteousness for His names sake. He can take a soul that has been used beyond the breaking point and restore it to it’s original factory, or heaven-made, settings. Psalm 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of my salvation; and uphold my with Your free spirit. That is our original condition, isn’t it? Jeremiah 30:17 For I will restore health unto you and heal you of your wounds, says the Lord. Joel 2:23 And I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten. The more I read the happier I got! Daniel 4 we read how King Nebuchadnezzar became like an animal roaming in the fields and eating grass like an ox because of his great pride and not recognizing God! But one day he looked heavenward and acknowledged his Creator, God, he was fully restored to himself and back to his Throne as the King! When Job lost everything he had in this world except his life and his wife he blamed himself and God and the “friends” that came to talk with him didn’t make things any better, however in the end he humbled himself before God and prayed for his enemies! When he did this God restored everything to him and seven times greater than he had ever had! What is there in your life that seems so ripped apart and full of excess baggage that you feel you are too far gone for help? If God can take a King that had become like an animal for seven years and restore him fully to his kingdom in his right mind, there is nothing you can bring to him that would be too hard for Him to do! Be restored to your original, sinless condition today by connecting yourself to God!
