I was listening to music and…

We shall behold Him, Oh we shall behold Him, face to face in all of His glory!” Have you ever simply ached to see a loved one, one whose face is so dear to you that it is emblazoned forever on your mind? One glimpse of that face makes you want to run and jump into their arms, oh what happiness!  That was my thought as I listened to that song, which is talking about seeing the face of Jesus, and the first strains of the music brought the vision of His face, I haven’t seen Him in the flesh but I feel that I know Him so well. Tears began to glow as I listened, WE SHALL BEHOLD HIM! He is the One that heals our broken hearts and binds our wounds, we read that in Psalm 147:3. As I listened to the music I felt transported, as if I was standing with the throngs in front of the Throne. As that song ended another one began, Total Praise“You are the source of my strength, You are the strength of my life, I lift my hands in Total Praise to You“. Then, “For every mountain You’ve brought me over for every trial you’ve seen me through, for every blessing halleluiah for this I give you Praise!!! FOR EVERY MOUNTAIN YOU’VE brought me over for every trial you’ve seen me through, for every blessing halleluiah for this I give you praise!  I felt as if I were at the Throne singing, crying, feeling washed and released from past heartache, and trouble fades as I look into His wonderful face. I see myself standing and singing as Revelation 4:9-11  “Every time the Animals gave glory and honor and thanks to the One Seated on the Throne—the age-after-age Living One—the Twenty-four Elders would fall prostrate before the One Seated on the Throne. They worshiped the age-after-age Living One. They threw their crowns at the foot of the Throne, chanting, Worthy, O Master! Yes, our God! Take the glory! The honor! The power! You created it all; It was created because you wanted it”.5:12 says, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!”As I stand and wait to see the Glory of the Father I see the Angel, Revelation 8:1 “And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.”Can you even imagine how awesome and profound that silence would be? Thousands upon thousands upon ten thousands of souls all standing in silence before the Throne, I can imagine that when the silence ends there will be a shout that will shake all eternity.

Get alone with your Creator, Heavenly Father, Friend, and let Him renew your strength as Isaiah 40:31 “But those who wait upon GOD get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles, they run and don’t get tired, and they walk and don’t lag behind.” Just like we have to charge the battery in our phone, computer or battery powered screw driver, we need to take the time to plug ourselves into the power that only exists in the Throne Room of God, to be re-charged so that we can face another day, re-vitalized so that we can be a help to those who look to us for their needs. You are the finger of God on this earth but you can’t give what you don’t have!
