Lately some things have had me really confused so I started to think about what confusion really means. I decided it is the devils way of getting us so out of the frame over things that happen that we forget to have faith, forget to pray, and on top of that, remember to snap at the first person that comes at you with another big idea! While thinking this way I looked up some scriptures that might help if you are feeling confused!
When God gave Gideon the command to go get the Midianites He gave him a plan to confuse the enemy! I’m sure you know the story found in Judges 7 but just to refresh; a very small number of men, with a pitcher in their left hand which covered a lamp, and a trumpet in their right hand went to the enemy camp. At the signal they broke the pitchers causing loud crashes and began to blow the trumpets, all while yelling to the top of their lungs THE SWORD OF THE LORD AND OF GIDEON! The enemy became so CONFUSEDthey began to attack each other and ran away! Gideon’s army WON the battle with God’s plan of confusion!
James 3:16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. Did you notice that confusion was listed with ‘every evil thing’?
1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. Would you say then that peace is the antithesis of confusion? Absolutely!
Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.
Psalm 85:10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
Psalm 119:165 Great peace have those who love Your law and nothing will cause them to stumble.Feeling better yet?
From Psalm 23 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul;
NOW I feel better, He restores my soul. Restore: Bring back; reinstate, Return someone or something to a former condition, place, or position.
That was the answer I needed to feel completely restored instead of confused…
