Judging from the problems I am hearing on a daily basis I would think that there is a great majority of us that are quite ready for a happy ending to all that is going on! We want to be abel to return to our normal daily routine of going to work, going out to eat with friends and for me being able to go to a church service with a congregation in the pews instead of on the other side of a camera lens!
It seems to me that there are not many peacemakers today and listening to the news is proof positive of that. The worse the newscasters can make our predicament sound the more ratings they will get!
If you have read the Bible you see that the things happening in our world today were predicted, Luke 21: 25-28 “It will seem like all hell has broken loose—sun, moon, stars, earth, sea, in an uproar and everyone all over the world in a panic, the wind knocked out of them by the threat of doom, the powers-that-be quaking. And then—then!—they’ll see the Son of Man welcomed in grand style—a glorious welcome! When all this starts to happen, up on your feet. Stand tall with your heads high. Help is on the way!”
There are wars all around us and not just country against country but citizen against citizen, racial tension, the haves and the have-nots at odds with one another, and worse of all there is so much trouble within the family unit. And now we are all afraid that we have been attacked by this virus sent from an enemy culture who wants us all destroyed.
I have seen trouble and I don’t like the look of its face, I want to see the face of Peace and Love, I want to hear my daddy sing, “There will be peace in the valley for me someday, there will be peace in the valley for me, there’ll be no more sadness, no sorrow, no trouble I’ll see, There will be peace in the valley for me.” Maybe he’s singing it in heaven!
Hebrews 12:14 Work at getting along with each other and with God. Otherwise you’ll never get so much as a glimpse of God.
Jeremiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in You!
