My mind is boiling over with things that I shouldn’t say out loud, and if you know me…you know that my other site is called harowritingoutloud.com so I am not being true to myself by not talking out loud about the things that are boiling over in my mind… yes?
I guess John the Baptizer got by with calling the Pharisees and Sadducees and those in high positions in the church of that day snakes and a brood of vipers because his life was beyond reproach.
He ate locusts and wore the hides of animals inside out
…come to think of it though, he was beheaded because he spoke out against Herod the tetrarch telling him it was sinful for him to marry his brother’s wife…royally ticking her off.
I have found that speaking out about your political beliefs can get you ostracized from at least half of your friends (friends?) and being proud of your heritage can lose a few more. Saying that you believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God, chipping away at more friends and especially if you believe that Jesus is going to return in the same way he left…
(Acts 1:10,11 They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 11 “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”)
…and if you believe in miracles or speaking in other tongues as you pray you have really upped the chances for people to judge you. Never mind that I overlook seeing concrete statues of powerless gods in their houses and gardens, or never criticize them for saying we should send vibes or pray to the Universe…I just keep my mouth shut and never speakoutloud about it.
So, my friend (are you still my friend?) I will just keep my mouth firmly shut, plant my tongue in my cheek and I ask you to forget you ever read this and next time I will say something that will please the public…how bout that?
A girl after my own heart. We’ll talk soon. Have to take care of things here at home. Keep in touch. Working on blog for children. God bless you and keep you safe. STA

“I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out.” (Luke 19:39-40) Keep talking. I’m listening.

I’d rather you tell me what you really think than to tell me what you think I want to hear. At my age I’m “wide awake” which is much better than being “woke”. It is disappointing that people who are in highly visible positions choose to be people pleasers rather than God pleasers.
